As a founder of One Security Inc., Shawn is tasked with implementing the strategic and operational goals of One Security.
Over the last 25 years, Shawn has cultivated his natural talent to lead large teams and ensure mission success regardless of the environment or of obstacles. As a young youth pastor, Shawn was tasked with visualizing, planning, funding, and executing large-scale inaugural youth events. Shawn took his skills and experience as a youth pastor and transitioned into a position as a bank manager at U.S. Bank. After four years of growth in the banking industry, Shawn left banking to pursue his dream of becoming a police officer. Shawn worked in his hometown city of Silverton as a reserve police officer before moving to work as a deputy for the Lincoln City Sheriff’s Department. During his tenure in law enforcement, Shawn was able to earn several special assignments, to include: Field Training Officer, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Confrontational Simulation Instructor, Standardized Field Sobriety Test Instructor (SFST) and Drug Recognition Expert. In addition Shawn was a K-9 handler and a member of a SWAT/CERT team. Shawn excelled for the duration of his career in DUII enforcement and street-level drug interdictions.
In 2019, Shawn met Spencer Peck and decided to leave law enforcement for the private sector. He joined Spencer at Titanium Legal to act as the Operations Manager for a small - but growing - legal support company. In this role, Shawn was charged with the overall success of operations and tackled the growing area of robotic process automation (RPA). Shawn was able to quickly assemble and grow a team of in-house talent that found new and more efficient ways to file and serve legal documents in the Pacific Northwest. After COVID, Shawn was ready for an opportunity to move into a new industry with One Security, which allows him to use his years of community outreach and law enforcement experience.
Shawn is looking forward to becoming an active board member with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lane County. When not at work, Shawn can be found spending time with his four children and his family members in Silverton.
